Carroll and Sons congratulates Karl Stevens, recipient of the 2010 AltWeekly Award for Best Cartoonist for his Boston Phoenix strip ‘Failure’. Stevens’ strip was chosen among submissions from 91 alternative newsweeklies. The award is the Pulitzer of alternative press.
Sheila Pepe at the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston
July 22nd, 2010Carroll and Sons congratulates Shelia Pepe on her site-specific installation for the exhibition Hand+Made: The Performative Impluse in Art and Craft at the Contemporary Arts Museum in Houston. Pepe invited visitors to the show to add to and amend her work in an evening of Crochet and Cocktails. Pepe also has a new work on long-term display at the University of Massachusetts, Boston campus. Watch for Pepe’s next interactive work in January 2011 at Carroll and Sons.
